Still your mind:
When confusion appears
-
When confusion appears in your mind do not prepare to
engage in battle. Stay with it and be aware to observe its
inner workings without bonding to the confusion. Detach
and observe confusion dispassionately and allow it to slowly
dissolve from a safe distance.
Avoiding confusion will only empower it so be sure to face it
courageously. Confusion is like a parasite which is incapable
of surviving without a host. Watch it alertly from the front
window while refusing it entry into your home.
Choose self awareness from the onset of that dizzying,
swirling sensation, that whirlwind of mental activity that can
result from our inability or unwillingness to remain centered.
Getting caught up in the chase of some tantalizing thought
or possibility can seem enticing initially, until you have left the
ground of your being. Leaving your center, you are left without
leverage, unbalanced and incapable of calling upon your inner
resources to provide the appropriate response to a presented
opportunity or offer.
As this scenario is often complicated by other imaginings,
thoughts, anticipations and possible ramifications played out
on the surface of your mind, your innate ability to determine
which direction to move in has been compromised.
Stop. Wait. Listen. Pull back from the maddening crowd of
thoughts and anticipations. Withdraw from the confusion and
halt its momentum. Try now using the technique found here to
accomplish this task.
Prepare and discipline yourself to observe your thoughts
before confusion arrives and your efforts will be rewarded
with a seamless and effortless flow in your life.
