Simpatico

A reader recently described an experience she had involving an overwhelming feeling of love and empathy she felt for a stranger. She had experienced this feeling before with others. An indescribable connection with another for no apparent reason.

It is beyond reason, for the heart knows what the mind can not. There is an Italian word simpatico which is defined in English as "of like mind or temperament; compatible or having attractive qualities; pleasing." However, something is lost in the translation.

 As you continue to become more self aware and inner directed, these apparent senseless connections with others will occur. At these times the mind departs and the heart is left behind. Savour these moments.
