Still your mind:
Musings
-
When you are able to witness all that occurs around you while
remaining objective, nothing can harm you. The present moment
is a safe haven. Pure awareness free from mind and body. Take
refuge here, insulated from rationalizations, prejudices and judge
ments. Without reference to past and future, the present is time-
less and eternal and when you abide there you are eternal too.
Constant internal prompts of "I am here now", "I am", and "I am
that by which I know that I am" will ground you. Precise attentive-
ness. When you slip into memory or anticipation, gently bring
yourself back to the here and now. Demand nothing. Expect
nothing. Let your inner light guide you on your path. Compromise
not. Genuineness and sincerity. Let these be paramount. Be able
to respond appropriately in this moment and each successive
moment. Responsibility. Response - ability.
When you are truly in the moment the proper response will always
be found. When you rely on the rational mind, decision making is
delayed and the intuitive resources are denied. Trust in your inner
self and you will never be led astray. At first glance the response
may be seen as strange but ultimately it will prove proper.
Beyond the mind lies the wordless intelligence of your being. Begin
to trust in it and you will wonder how you ever came to ignore its
subtle urgings. As a child you were open to its influence. Now as
an adult you must reclaim its magnificence. Begin now. In this
moment. Delay everything else except this. Focus on the here and
now and everything you need will arrive in due time.
With each new awareness, the cover of inauthentic layers will begin
to peel away, leaving the real self to emerge. With the elimination of
these layers, you will slowly begin to reclaim the lost parts of your
personality. These holes in the personality will often surface in the
dream state. Use the technique described here:
